Do you believe in aliens?

Sunday, April 20, 2008

So last month we decided to take a trip to Roswell and see what was up with all the alien talk we had heard about. We visited the International UFO museum to finally discover the truth about aliens.

I don't know what we expected to see or learn. At least an X-files type amusement park ride? Needless to say the "museum" is just an old movie theater with a bunch of old newspaper clippings and posters. So basically you pay your six bucks and walk around and read a lot more than you want to. It kind of reminded me of walking around an elementary school gym on science project day. And at the finale of the tour you get to see a reenactment of the famous alien autopsy. Turns out it is an old JC Penney mannequin operating on an old movie prop.

Needless to say, it was disappointing. The town of Roswell was pretty cool though. The street lights are shaped like alien heads and the McDonalds is shaped like a UFO. There are lots of alien gift shops and the people are really nice.

Overall it was a fun trip and we were glad we went. I just would have rather spent my six bucks on an alien t-shirt, or a mug, or pretty much anything that runs six bucks in Roswell NM.

Happy AnniversaWii

Gretta and I celebrated our fifth anniversary this month. What says I love you more than a Nintendo Wii? Nothing... absolutely nothing. Needless to say my wife knows me well. We hope to see you on the racetrack when Mario Kart Wii comes out with online play. :)

Remodeling March Madness!

Thursday, March 27, 2008

Over spring break we decided to spruce up our kitchen a bit with the help of Gretta's parents.
Overall things went pretty well, except for the many many trips to Home Depot. You can do it, They can help (but not in one trip)

Some recent pictures

Probably the main reason why most people would want to see our blog is to see our two cute little girls Eva and emmie. So we're happy to oblige.

Eva still loves to be pretty and dress up all the time. She is devastated when mommy and daddy won't let her play in her pretty dresses outside in the dirt.

Emmie's new favorite activity is to climb into the fridge whenever it opens. She is almost walking; she's funny because she'll walk on her knees but chickens out when we put her on her feet.

Nate is busy busy with the same tiring routine of school, work, and Daddiness. He grew a beard but it was too itchy, the goatee was too scary (Eva called him a pirate), and the mustache looked too dirty.

Gretta is doing a great job of making our new home lovely and keeping the girls happy and she has even found time to do some floral work for weddings.

On the blog bandwagon

After popular demand, we are jumping on the bandwagon with our blog. No promises that we will be good at keeping it up to date, but we'll try.
