Saturday, April 10, 2010

We had a Fancy Nancy dress up party this year we let the girls pick out dresses and accessories and painted their finger nails. Eva and Emmie had a great time and had lots of fun with their friends. My favorite part was the cake it turned out exactly the way I wanted it to

We are back finally

Sorry for the long blog hiatus. I lost my upload cord from the camera to the computer. After looking for 3 months my loving husband bought me a new one.

Emmie's 3rd birthday cake Eva and Emmie in their new birthday dresses This was my favorite doll from my childhood I got her for Christmas when I was 2 I named her Ashel. her hair has been a matted mess since before I can remember I got an Idea from a friends blog to soak her hair in fabric softener, I did it over night it worked like a charm I was able to style her hair for for the first time in my life and have it looks pretty good

this is my new art work in the bathroom I made it out of toilet paper rolls and spray painted it black (thanks for the great Idea Amy) We also had time while Rachel was here to update the bathroom. I LOVE it

We replaced the flooring in our kitchen after we got back from Utah. We started by pulling up the vinyl
while my kitchen was torn up I did my dishes in the bathtub
We brought Aunt Waychol with us to help with the tile (by help I mean do most of the work).

Eva was a big help with Alivia while we where working

Eva and Emmie love to cuddle with their baby sister Emmie not wearing her crown with pride at all
Eva wearing her crown with pride
Alivia's first sold food

Eva and Emmie's sleep over with there cousin Bryn

Eva Kept asking me why she couldn't sleep on the stairs
Audry had to do a home EEG . I tried to dress up the bandages with a flower so it would look more like a hat. It's nice to know someone with more Neurological problems then me
Nana rarely cooks. When we are blessed with such an occasion, we like documentation.
We asked Emmie what she wanted for her birthday and all she wanted was her grandpa

the girls made a princess gingerbread house with grandpa Myers
My Mom and I had a hair dye party I think we look alot alike with our hair like this
Twin cousins, Aivia and Corban are only one month apart but the weigh about the same
Sledding in the house is more fun, you never get a runny nose or cold fingers and toes
Alivia would get sad whenever I would take her uncle Heinrich away

Happy 30th birthday Babe

Friday, December 18, 2009

I remember when Nate and I got married, we would dream about fun things we would do or the things we would buy on Nate's 30th birthday, but sadly Nate is just 5 months shy of finishing pharmacy school and we have a 3 month old baby. So fun trips and fancy gifts looked like they were out of the question. Then Nate's car gave us a present; the engine died. So we were able to get Nate the Jeep he has been wanting for a while. He really wanted a 4 door jeep but I think he really likes the Liberty as a good compromise. The end of the year is a great time to buy a car. The car dealership gave us every deal possible and we were able to get an 08 which is much much newer then we were expecting and it has hardly any miles. Nate is as giddy as a school girl, he wanted to drive it to UT but after a test dive with all the girls after just a few miles we wanted to rip our hair out and Alivia was getting malled with love by her sisters. We thought the van would be a better idea.

Eva and Emmie usually don't pay to much attention to the new baby, but this day they couldn't get enough of her they were fighting over holding her all day

I made this centerpiece out of a broken end table, old building blocks my kids never play with, and some old 8 year old ribbon I like but have never found a good use for and some dollar store ornaments. I love giving new life into old thing you normally wouldn't use anymore.

We had a great time putting up our Christmas tree the day after thanksgiving I thought I would take a picture to remember how pretty it is before all the bulbs get taken off and hidden all over the house like easter eggs
My goal is to some day have a mantle to put our stocking on so I don't have to nail them to the wall

Everyone in our family got a little gingerbread house to put together this year it was so much fun. Brownie points to anyone how can guess who made each one.....hint Mommy made Alivia's as well as her own.

Alivia Had a Dr.'s appointment today she is in the 50% for her weight, and at her last appointment she was in the 10% she is growing very fast. She is only in the 10% for her height so she might have to borrow some shoes from her aunt Audrey when she grows up.

Daddy did the girls hair for church all by himself. He was so proud when Eva told him It looked just like when Mommy did it.

The princess jammies are a staple in my girls wardrobe they are rarely seen inside our house without them. I think they get it from their Mommy. The other day I got up and got dressed right away ( instead of at noon) and Eva kept asking where I was going. She didn't understand why I would get dressed without a good reason.

Good odd goings on

We made turkey shaped cookies using the girls hands as a template. Eva was so sad when we pulled them out of the oven and they no longer were the same size as her hand

Nate brought home some flower for me when I was having a bad day and said I think this will be as fun for you to put together as it is for me to put together a lego kit. I love arranging flowers I miss my old job at the reception center doing flowers for weddings.

Emmie found this tutu and thought it would make a better veil

Alivia is starting to smile and coo so much, it melts my heart. She dose seem to smile more for daddy then mommy
Emmies first dry all night diaper, Hurray hurray Its a beautiful day
