The girls having fun with there cousin Lilly

Thursday, July 30, 2009

My sister Anna has been staying with us for a few weeks while her husband Mike is at Officer training for the Navy, to pay for med School. It has been a lot of fun having them around . Emmie thinks Lilly's name is Lilly-bug and will quickly correct us if we call her just Lilly

One draw back about Anna here right now is we are both knocked up and are cravings don't match and we have both made each other sick on more then one occasion

We got a sweet new doggy a few weeks ago he is so nice. He is a black pug named Harold, he is about 6 or 7. I recommend getting a dog instead of a puppy he dosen't chew on anything, he is already potty trained, he knows all of his commands already and he is the sweetest thing to the girls he lets them pull on his tail and lay on him and pat him really hard without a single fuss

Anna has successfully kept Lilly away from sugar most of her life, but her aunt Gretta put an end to that when she introduced her to her first Popsicle

Sorry to any boys that might be reading this post you will most likely find everything in this entry completely boring. I'll have Nate write something fun about sports, camping, hunting, video games or any other cliche boy thing for our next blog

With another girl on the way I needed new hair bow storage

I had three close friends have their babies this month so I've been busy making diaper cakes and diaper wipe containers
With such a large family I was having a lot of picture clutter on my fridge so I made this family tree to put their pictures on, and I was trying to come up with enrichment ideas for Super Saturday and thought this would work for both. Thanks for the pictures to everybody who helped me get them. Sorry for all the nagging, but those enrichment leaders mean business!

Our Fun Filled Fourth

Sunday, July 5, 2009

We had a glorious 4th of July celebration this year. Seriously, it was the tastiest 4th of July BBQ our family has ever seen (no offense to anyone who has hosted us before). You can't go wrong with steak and lobster. In fact the more animals involved the better as Rodizio and Tucano's has taught us (again no offense if you are a vegetarian). Even our garbage smelled great when we were done. We also had fun with fireworks. We just bought some sparklers and then drove up the street to see a big firework show. The girls had lots of fun with the sparklers once they were done being scared. Emmie tried to blow them out, and Eva threw them on the ground when she thought they were getting a bit too close to her hand. We also learned that Gretta's purse is in fact not fireproof or fire-resistant.
